 Many of the pharmaceutical products that reach the market today offer only modest benefits over existing therapies. At Savient, our approach to clinical development is much more inspired. We primarily target compounds with the potential to provide relief to patients with serious conditions for which current treatments provide little improvement.
Our current development program is focused on a new drug that will serve niche markets worldwide. We believe our late stage biologic product pegloticase has significant potential for addressing important gaps in the care and management of treatment-failure gout (TFG).
